Certainty in uncertain times
Sometimes my RSS reader is a little daunting. The unread messages start climbing and I don’t have a chance to keep up. Sometimes, I don’t want to keep up with them. The default news ones are always negative. Some are real long, and I’m not a very fast reader. Some are just plain boring.
Somehow, this one stood out. Laid off? Hyundai will take your car back.
Surely there’s some catch, right? Well, maybe somewhere in the fine print there is, but that’s not the point. I even back tracked on their website to see if it was true. Low and behold.
How freaking cool is that! Pending some life altering circumstance, they’ll take your car off your hands, and help you recuperate the loss. That’s a bold move. I dig it.
A decade ago Hyundai pioneered America’s Best Warranty to show you the faith we have in our cars. Today, in addition to our warranty, we’re introducing Hyundai Assurance, to show you the faith we have in you.
To show you the faith we have in you?! When’s the last time you heard a car company, or anyone for that matter, say they have so much faith in their product and their customers that if something doesn’t work out, they’ll make it right. Especially with the way the world looks right now. I sincerely hope there’s some more companies in the world taking notes. Show a little faith in your fans and it’ll go a long way. I feel like I’ve heard that somewhere before.
Now, I’m not even in the market for a new car, but I never even considered a Hyundai. Until now. Bravo.
A miney for you! For showing compassionate thinking in a dark industry.
How much do you have to hate someone?
I just saw this over at The Prodigal Jon. Completely caught me off guard.
Believer, non-believer, or maybe feel like you’re struggling to find a place somewhere in between, he raises a pretty bold question. Convicted me.
I’m still absorbing this, and honest when I say I’m having trouble forming a decent sentence that conveys my true feelings.
I’ll be open with my faith in saying that I am a broken, filthy soul saved by Grace. I promise not to withhold that from anyone at anytime. All you get from me is Love and an honest conversation. I would love to talk.

like, a whole lot
You see, I’ve got this problem. I like music. Like, a whole lot.
So, I hate it when I feel like I’m the last to hear about a band. I hate it when I see all of my friends mention it but I never give it a chance. I hate it when within the first minute of the first song I know that I’m going to love the whole cd and probably the discography.
That just happened. I don’t hate The Avett Brothers. They’re good. Way good.
A big +1 to Emily for turning me onto them. And I’m sorry Josh for not heeding your advice. I could have not hated the Avett Brothers a long time ago.
So here’s my advice, listen to them. Then share your hidden gem in the comments.
I can’t be the only one this happens to, right?
